  • Since its incorporation in 1923, Booker T. Washington Community Service Center and its supporters have followed the philosophy of Booker T. Washington. By instilling the values of self-help and self-responsibility, the Center has become a unique oasis for personal and community empowerment. More than a building with programs, we are a community center without borders –an inclusive community resource. We support positive action with love and respect. We are a nurturing and supportive environment where individuals and community groups feel welcome.
  • At present, we are developing plans to upgrade our facility. We will continue to provide support and encouragement to youth, single parent households, shut-in seniors and others who are isolated and in need of a helping hand. Through our multi-generational and multi-ethnic programs, we offer an array of opportunities that challenge our participants, inspire community support, and create future leaders to preserve our values and continue our tradition of service to this community.
  • We will continue to embrace people in our community and serve as a catalyst for self empowerment and the elimination of poverty and suffering.
